Chrysler Repair: 98 minivan park lights wont shut off, headlamp switch, body control module

Question
Hi. I have a problem with the parking lights of my voyager. They stay on even after my mini van is off. I try everything but can't figure out what's wrong or how to turn them off. Can you help me?

Hi Yamali,
It is either the parking lamp relay is stuck closed or the headlamp switch is faulty. The relay is the 4th one in the row of relays, counting from the rear, in the power box that is under the hood near the battery (there are three smaller relays, then the next large one is the parking relay. You could try switching that relay with another one in the same box to simply verify if with a different relay the lights go out. If so, then buy a replacement relay, if not, then it is probably the headlamp switch or the wire from that switch to the body control module is shorted to ground. But try the relay switching first and that may solve the problem. Let me know if not and I can tell you how to test the headlamp switch and its wire.
