Chrysler Repair: 2001 mini-van: code 0106,0121,1193.1282, intake air temp, power steering pump


Question
I have a 2001 grand caravan with 3.3 flex replaced fuel pump and filter. The van will not run after replacing the fuel filter van ran fine till I shut it off then would not start. Replaced the fuel pump and same thing happened again ran fine and then would not start. Van will start if I let it sit till its cold but wont idle. Has error codes p0106,p1282,p0121,p1193. Please help.

Hi Glen,
The problem with starting is probably due to an inaccurate MAP sensor and an inaccurate intake air temp sensor. That is how I would interpret the codes. There is one stale code, I believe, about the full pump relay. So replace the MAP (located near the power steering pump reservoir) and the temp sensor (located near the corrugated rubber inlet tube) and I would expect the engine will run right.
