Chrysler Repair: 98 Sebring Blower motor wont run, amp fuse, fuse box

Question
98 Sebring blower motor was only running on high speed for about 6 months...now it has stopped completley....how can i repair or locate it , may it be the resistor?

Answer
Hi Thomas,
The resistor block was definitely the cause when you could only get high speed. Now that it doesn't work at all it may be fuse #1 in the fuse box behind the end-cap on the driver's end of the dash (open door for access to cap) is blown too. If that 30 amp fuse is not blown then it is either the blower motor or the blower control switch that has also failed. So check that fuse. Then to replace the resistor block you go under the dash on the passenger side (remove under-edge panel for better access), find the blower motor on the bottom of the right end of the air distibution housing, then follow the twisted electrical wire from the blower motor to the nearby resistor block mounted in the air duct. Remove its electrical plug and the two screws holding it in place and it will drop out of the duct for replacement.
