Chrysler Repair: 93 Concorde Electrical Issues, side kick panel, chrysler concorde

Question
QUESTION: Roland...You are my last hope...
I have a 93 Chrysler Concorde with electrical issues.

While driving the dashboard lit up like a christmas tree, every light possible
on the dash was flashing on and off randomly and the gauges were bouncing.
The dash died moments later, and then the car proceeded to shut off after that.

First thing I did was try the key dance, but then realized that the check engine light
was not coming on when the car was set to ON. A mechanic decided it was the ECM
(I think it's the one in the engine bay) he replaced it and the car still did not start.
We put the old ECM back in.

There is no spark, and no fuel, the car cranks normally but will not fire up.

I've replaced the BCM (Right side kick panel computer) and it still does not have
spark or fuel. Checked all the fuses and they are all good.

The dash continues to act strangely also, my "Service Center" in the middle of the dash
does not detect that the doors are ajar and does not light up, also, my gas gauge does
not rise when the car is set to ON. Aside from the dash being strange, and the no spark
no fuel everything else is normal.

When diagnostics were attempted on the vehicle after replacing the computer, the
mechanic said that he could not read any codes.

I am at a complete loss.

ANSWER: Hi Justin
Let me contemplate on this for a bit and get back to you before the end of the day with a follow-up answer.

QUESTION: Other important things to note:
After replacing the BCM just the smallest bit of fuel spit out of the rails, it had pressure in it. I think that the fuel pump had power for a short time. I just checked all the relays and they are working. The BCM could still be the issue...does it need to be programmed or anything? Does the BCM control the door ajar lights? When there is no BCM plugged into the car and the key is set to ON the dash seems to work closer to normal. The check engine light flicks on then off, and the AirBag light also works, the door ajar light does not.

ANSWER: Your follow-up 'crossed' my follow-up answer. I am not certain about the fuel observation nor about the difference between with and without the bcm plugged in. Try testing the fuses, and let me know what sort of diagnostic reader was used and was it plugged into the under dash data limk connector? We have to sort out whether this is a digital communication issue or a power supply issue from the ignition switch. Do you hear the fuel pump run for about a second when you turn the key to the run position?

QUESTION: After reading that I should test the voltages I went out to my car and turned the key to ON to check the fuses...Everything fired up! The car was completely normal. It started and then after 20sec of running it, I shut it off.

Now, its doing the same thing, no power to the Message Center, no check engine light.

I tested the fuses with a light tester (I dont have a volt tester tonight) and the fuses you suggested all lit up. #14 however had no power at all, in any key position. Another thing is sometimes when turning the key to ON the check engine light will flash, other times it does not.

Is the ignition bad?

Answer
If you are sure that #14 has no power then one section of the ignition switch is bad, unless fuse A (20 amp) in the box in the engine compartment which supplies that section of the switch is blown. You might also want to check that 17,18,19, and 20 fuses are similarly not supplied as is 14. If all that is true, then you need a new ignition switch.
