Chrysler Repair: 1999 sebring: stalls when slowing down, follow ups, plug wires

Question
well it said we have to many follow ups... i really appreciate you helping me but i have to ask since there is limited space back there do i need to take any thing off to find the stem or is it visable. i see that the body is gold colored metal then the black thing on the end so do i need to take the black part out to get to the stem? just a little confused since it is so hard to see. but my CEL is not on when the car is running. and when i do the 3 times to on thing the CEL comes on but then it goes off it does not flash it comes on like the rest of the lights and then goes back off like most of the other lights. the CEL was on for a few months but that was do to the plug wires being crossed but i already fixed that problem and once i did this started happening

Answer
I don't have a similar engine here to look at, but the manual shows it as I described and the stem is between the metal and the black top, inside a flange that attach the those two parts together. Do not try to separate anything; if you can't see the flange and the stem within it then forget the job and instead get a fault code readout via the under dash plug near the steering column using a code reader.
