Chrysler Repair: 1995 Chrysler sebring: no spark, chrysler sebring, modual

Question
hello, my car is not starting, the cylinders are not getting any spark what would be the cause? the distributor? i was told it is an ignition modual but there is not a ignition modual applicable part for this car so it has to be something electrical i had a simular problem as another person asked you the car some times stalls but this time it won't start but turns over fine

Answer
Hi Mike,
The module in question is probably the sensor in the distributor, and it isn't sold separately so you have to get a rebuilt distributor if that is the problem.
But before doing that check for fault codes using the ignition switch:"on-off-on-off-on and leave on" doing that in 5 seconds or less elapsed time. Then watch the check engine light, which remains "on", to see it begin to flash, pause, flash, etc. Count the number of flashes before each pause, then repeat the process to be sure you have an accurate set of flash counts. The last two sets are always 5 in each. Then right back telling me the counts in the order of appearance.
It might be the module, it might be the distributor rotor or the distributor cap but let us see what the fault code may tell us.
