QUESTION: i left my car to be fixed cause apparently it wasnt if the same problem has occur. My question was what could be the reason why this is happening. is it an electrical problem, gas pump, starter, sensor. is this going to be a process of elimination whereby the mechanic is going to change everything to find out what the cause of the car shutting down

Answer
that is to large of a spectrum to answer  to many factors are at play for me to tell u whats going on thus far.  What kinda car is this, what he repaied already, what has been done or not done to this car,one thing failed and caused another to fail and then again how experienced this mechanic is as well is a factor.
