Chrysler Repair: starting problem: 3.3L V-6, air control valve, fuel pump relay

some mornings engine wont start,cranks almost starts,same again,if it starts,have to hold at 2000 rpm,then drive,same even if already warmed up.happening for about 1 month!problem started sometime after wouldnt crank and changed battery.have removed throttle body and idle air control valve and cleaned up and sprayed deep creep in dirty intake let sit 1 hour,started and ran,then suck in thru a vacuum port some gm intake and valve cleaner and let sit for 1 hour,put can $25chrysler valve cleaner in fuel tank and new fuel pump w/pressure regulator,new fuel pump relay, 83k miles ,computor needs reset? never a check eng light!

Hi Marty,
Check the egr valve which may be gummed up and thus is sticking slightly ajar which will lean out the mixture too much to get it to catch and idle. It is located in a pipe that runs from the rear exhaust manifold back to the throttle body. It has a stem with a slot into which you can insert the tip of a screw driver to move it and test that the internal spring-action closes it to a dead stop. It is located between the vacuum actuated round top and the valve body proper. If you find it sticky just spray some WD-40 on the stem where it enters the valve body and move it some more.
