Chrysler Repair: pcm outputs to fan relay, refrigerant pressure, coolant temp

Question
2001 chrysler voyager 3.3l 6 cyl.
at what voltage does the coolant fan relay trip and can you measure it at pin 73 pcm c2 grey/grey plug?if it only goes to 110-119 mv , when hot is this a bad pcm? or do i have the wrong pin?

Answer
Hi Guy,
That pin is correct for the fan relay but it should go to battery voltage if it is going to close the fan relay. Is it changing at all from when the engine is cold to when it requires fan cooling, 220F? If not, then the coolant temp sensor may be bad. The call for AC will also turn it on when the refrigerant pressure hits 250 psi, and the trans fluid reaching 96C. So there are several ways to get the pcm to put 12V on pin 73.
