Chrysler Repair: 03 Town & Country no start, crankshaft sensor, steering column

Question
QUESTION: Driving down the road it shut off..NOT STALLS.. Shuts off, like someone turned the key. Turn key to restart and nothing. no crank no click nothing, but have power to all instument panel, head lights horn ect. Then turn key again it started. Changed crankshaft sensor (after maket knockoff, not a dealer part). Car started ran for a bit then died. Won't start at all now. Would not do a engine code check (turn key on & off) Put in new PCM (rebuilt to my vin # and mi.) Still nothing. Any ideas?

ANSWER: Dennis,
The code check is "on-off-on-off-on and leave on" doing that in 5 seconds or less elapsed time.
Then watch the odometer window. Without a code it is very hard to suggest what to do. Which engine do you have? Can you borrow a code reader to plug in to the socket under the dash by the steering column?

QUESTION: Hi Roland, Thanks for the tip. one of the fuses was blown. I put the old PCM back in and it quit running right away then I put the new one in and it seems to be running fine so far. Aparrently the old pcm (or something) blew the fuse. Can't thank you enough.

Answer
Hi Dennis,
You are welcome. So glad to learn of the fix. I had a hunch because you said that you couldn't get any codes out of the pcm...
Roland
PS For a complete history, I am adding the earlier answer:
Have you checked fuses #17 and #23 as those provide the power to the pcm. If you can't get codes then you may have no power to the pcm.
