Question
As soon as the car heats up it cuts out (The batteries doesn't die) and i am able to start it right back up again. but then in a few minuets it just dies again .

Answer
Hi Bill,
Try using your ignition key to get any fault codes in the operation of the engine that may be recorded in the memory of the controller: turn the key "on-off-on-off-on and leave on" doing that in 5 seconds or less elapsed time. Then watch the check engine light which remains 'on' to see it begin to flash, pause, flash, etc. Count the number of flashes before each pause. Then do the process again to be sure of an accurate set of counts. Then tell me the counts in the order of appearance and we'll go from there to solve this. The codes are formed by combining the counts into pairs in the order of appearance to form the 2-digit code numbers. The last number should always be 55 because that is the code for "end of code readout".
If you wnat you can also go to www.allpar.com/fix/codes.html for a list of the codes. But I will be pleased to interpret exactly what to do if you find a code that is applicable to this behavior. I suspect that it is one of the two engine position sensors. When these begin to fail they often do so in just the way you are describing it. But we need to know if there is a code for one of the sensors, or not and then to replace the correct one. Tell me which size engine you have in the car, usually it is the 2.5L V-6.
