Chrysler Repair: Pacifica ASB Sensor, highway traffic safety, traffic safety administration

Question
My ABS light went on and I brought it to my dealer.  They said that one of the front sensors was bad and needed replacing.  Then they went on to say because Chrysler has had problems with these sensors they changed to a different one.  They said I would have to replace all the sensors to the new kind or they wouldn't work.  It's almost a $700 job.  Is this right? Shouldn't Chrysler pay for the other three sensors?

Answer
Hi Wiliam,
Kevin might have a more authoritative answer, and he will be available again arount 7pm cst, I believe. You can go to the federal national highway traffic safety administration and check their list of manufacturer's recall (www.nhtsa.gov) which will include the text of the problem and what the corporation agreed to do to fix the problem, or you can try talking to the Chyrsler corporation in Detroit about recalls on the Pacifica ABS that they have issued. Those would be the three things to seek to get an answer.
