Chrysler Repair: 1999 Voyager: dies at idle., throttle position sensor, exhaust gas recirculation valve

Question
I have a 1999 Plymouth Voyager and it keeps stalling when it comes to a stop. I changed the fuel pump fuel filter the Idle control valve and the Throttle Position Sensor and it still keeps doing the same thing. When I put on the new I.C.V it made it worse then before so it took it back off and put the old one back on. Can someone help

Answer
Hi Neil,
Two things: use the ignition key to check for fault codes:"on-off-on-off-on and leave on" doing that in 5 seconds or less elapsed time. Then watch the check engine light, which remains 'on', to see it begin to flash, pause, flash, etc. Count the number of flashes before each pause. Then repeat the process to be sure of an accurate set of counts. Tell me the count results in order of appearance.
The other possibility is that the exhaust gas recirculation valve is sticking slightly ajar which leans out the mixture too much to support an idle. Because you didn't mention which of 4 different engine you might have I can't be specific. So tell me that too.
We'll go from there.
