Chrysler Repair: pt cruiser limp mode, 4 digit numbers, code numbers

I have a 2001 pt i had the oil changed and fluids topped off etc and 2 days later the engine light came on and it quit shifting out of 2nd gear. limp mode as its called. we repalced the cellinoiod box on the transmission and had the codes cleared and it ran great till i restarted the next day it was back to limp mode. i had the codes cleared again and it ran great untill the next start? can u help me ?

What are the code numbers? They are there to tell you what is wrong, not just to be 'cleared'.
Turn the ignition 'on-off-on-off-on and leave on" doing that in 5 seconds or less elapsed time then watch the odometer window to see if the mileage changes to show some 4-digit numbers prefixed by a P. If nothing shows up, then go to an Autozone parts store for a free readout.
