Chrysler Repair: clogged AC evaporator drain, water leaks, ac evaporator

Question
With extended use of the AC on my 2002 Chrysler T/C Limited water leaks on the passenger side.  A friend told me that the evaporator or condenser for the AC was clogged and was overflowing into the car.  Can you help me locate the drain for me to unclog.  Thank you.

Answer
Hi GB,
There is a pan below the evaporator into which condensed water collects. The drain is therefor located at the level which corresponds to the bottom of the AC/heater housing. It is something that you would seek to find on the firewall (outside surface, of course) and generally about at the mid-line of the vehicle. So lift one front wheel and look for a rubber tube/flap in that general location. Once you find it insert a stiff wire in the lumen and clear out the debris from the drain tube.
