Chrysler Repair: 04 Sebring convertible:door check strap replacement, grease pencil, door hinges

Question
QUESTION: Both lower door hinges are broken, does this require stripping down interior of door or can this be done from the outside.A short explanation would be appreciated.( 2 door by the way)

ANSWER: Hi Gary,
It appears that all you need to do is remove the hinge from the door and from the A-pillar for replacement. Some 'tricks':
open and support door on a suitable lifting device
remove bolts holding check strap to lower A-pillar for better access
mark position of hinge at both the door and tha A-frame using grease pencil
remove bolts holding hinge to both
remove hinge

paint hinge before install if desired.
attach hinge to A-pillar loosely with bolts
attach hinge to door loosely with bolts
align hinges to previous marks, and tighten bolts
reattach door check strap
verify fit and operation/adjust as necessary.

QUESTION: Thank you for a such a quick response, I believe I have not explained the problem correctly. I don't think it is the large lower metal hinge but some sort of metal strap lined with plastic on outside. Plastic is broken and when door is opened a very loud crack occurs.(slides with door when opening) Again would this require door panel removal, etc? Again thank you for previous response.

Answer
You must mean the check strap (which prevents the door from opening too far. That would require removing the trim panel to get inside to remove it/replace it. I can xerox a page from the manual and postal mail that to you. Just give me a postal mailing address.
