Chrysler Repair: Drivers side rear brake is locking up., rubber brake hose, rear caliper

Question
While replacing all front and rear brake rotors and disc pads, found a problem with the drivers side rear caliper the piston would not return,so i replaced the calipar and the same problem exists. What could cause this problem.

Answer
Hi Lou,
It could be that the flexible rubber brake hose that feeds the caliper is degraded in its lumen such that brake fluid motion is impeded from flowing backwards, which is what has to happen when the brake pedal is released to allow the caliper to retract. So try changing out that brake hose. Another possibility is that the pins upon which the caliper slides sideways are dirty or corroded so check that as a possible cause.
