Chrysler Repair: ac fan not working: 99 300m, chrysler 300 m, chrysler 300

Question
I have a 1999 chrysler 300 M and the driver side fan is not turning causeing the car to over heat when the A/C is on do I need to replace the whole fan assembly.

Answer
Hi Twaesha,
As best I can tell the fan motors and their wirings are identical so that it appears that they either both run low or both run high speed when everything is right. I would believe that you could replace the driver side fan motor only and regain use of that fan. But check with a dealer parts counter to see how they sell the fan motor/fan assembly for sure. It appears that there is no possibility of it being a relay problem because the fan motors are run in pairs, so if one isn't operating it pretty much has to be the motor of that fan.
