Chrysler Repair: Headlight and dash board re-set: 07 300, dash lights, computer module

Chrysler 300 - 2007
Headlights and dash lights do not re set ( ie, headlights ON, dash lights low) in bright day after washer has been used to clean of critter droppings/bodies on windshield. At start, no headlights and dash readable; washer activated and within less than ten seconds headlights turn ON and dash lights dim (senses rain?). Neither reset unless intermittant wipers moved to OFF or car shut off and restarted. First visit to dealer had a computer module that showed "headlight errors" replaced but did not fix problem.

Hi Alan,
I don't have a manual that cover the 300, but it may be the case that you have a water leak around the windshield that is allowing water to drip down on the plug in the body computer which temporarily produces a short circuit and the consequesnt 'gremlins'. So watch from underneath the dash to see if there are any signs of such a leak.
