Chrysler Repair: Sebring Windshield Washer, windshield washer, dashboard light

Hello - I have a 2001 Sebring, just got it in January 09.  Recently the dashboard light came on that I was out or low on windshield washer solution.  I thought easy enough...I popped the hood and was a bit surprised that I did not see the fluid container...I did see the tube inwhich I pour new fluid in.  So I added about half of the gallon, thinking I was good to go.  The next morning I was again surprised to see that the light still came on.  I tried to dispense some washer solvent but nothing came out?!  What am I missing, it was working fine prior to the light coming on.  Any thoughts, suggestions would be great!  Thanks a bunch, by the way, I am not 'car smart'...!

Hi Jeff,
I am not certain whether this is a convert or a sedan but I may not have the manual in either case. My inclination would be to look more closely for the washer fluid container by looking down the opening to see if there is any fluid contained below it. You may have a cracked/leaking bottle that is simply dumping the fluid.
