Chrysler Repair: Water on passenger side floor: Sebring Conv., sebring convertible, drain holes

Question
QUESTION: Hey there,
I have a major problem when it rains. The passenger side floor of my 99 Sebring convertible is covered in a 2" deep pool of water every time it happens. I have been trying to locate the drain plugs I keep reading about, but can't seem to find them. I even tried pouring water down the driver side rear window to see where it would come from, and it looks like it is coming out of the pink weld and not the frame at all. I'm afraid to try the same thing on the passenger side since I can hear it sloshing around everywhere when I drive.

Could you provide some pictures or video that shows where these drain holes are. It would be a tremendous help.

ANSWER: Hi Jesse,
I believe you will find drain holes along the panels (seans) on the underside of the body that are in line with the tires on either side, that run from the front of the rear wheel well opening toward the door opening. These may have rubber flaps which when open will reveal a drain hole which may be plugged with debris. So take a look for those.

---------- FOLLOW-UP ----------

QUESTION: Hey thanks for the help. I think I might have found the solution to my problem. When I noticed water coming out of the driver side pinch (not "pink"... sorry bout that) weld, I decided to poke around with a coat hanger on the passenger side. It was like Moses striking a rock to get water to flow from it. It appears that when my car was on a lift sometime the pinch weld got bent, and there's supposed to be a small opening for the water to come out. Poking it just got it started, but I had to bend it back into shape before it really started flowing out. I really hope this keeps my car from flooding again. I'll just have to wait and see.

Answer
Hi Jesse,
Thanks for the follow-up. The manual is not specific about the drain hole locations. Can you be a bit more specific about the exact location in the front floor area? And did you happen to find any holes where I described (those were the locations to drain water that collects in the 1/4-window/trunk area in the Lebaron convertibles)? I will note your specifics and pass them along to other owners.
