Chrysler Repair: Chrysler 300 M: electric window switch, power window switch, latch handle

Question
QUESTION: On my 300m the window switch only works the right side front window, drivers side does not work, both rear windows will work the switches in the rear but not from the front switch, if it requires a new switch how and what do I have to pull off to replace it. Thanks  hope you can help

ANSWER: Hi Al,
It does sound like an issue inside the switch because there should be power for all the windows from a single bus therein. Let me know the year model and I'll tell you how to remove the door panel to then remove the switch.
Sorry for the delay, I just saw your question in the 'pool'.

QUESTION: It's a Chrysler 300 M 1999

Answer
Hi Al,
This is how to remove the door trim panel to get to the window switch:
Do not pry on door trim panel
remove speaker flag
remove speaker grille by inserting trim tool at the rear of the grille and disengaging clips holding it to trim panel. remove grille
remove trim plug from the remote latch handle, release by inserting a small flat blade tool into the notch and remove, if equipped.
remove three screws from bottom of door
remove screw in pull cup, remove screw in remote latch release bezel
remove two screws in the instrument panel interface area (this is the upper front corner that is opposite the end of the instrument panel when the door is closed)
remove three screws in the speaker area
using a trim tool, disengage the retainer clips from the trim panel to the door panel (these go around the edge of the panel, lift gently so they might be reused, otherwise replace
raise trim panel up to disengage from the 'belt' being careful to hold the panel securely
disconnect the linkage from the remote handle assembly
disconnect the power mirror switch
disconnect the power door lock switch connector
disconnect the power window switch connector
There are other wires to disconnect but at this point you should be able to remove the screws that hold the switch to the panel. Because there is only one fuse for the windows, and all the power flow thru the switch, it pretty much has to be internal to the switch that you can only control the right front window from it. I would expect you will find either that the contacts in the switch are corroded or oxidized or that a wire is broken. You might be able to correct it if the internal contacts are faulty by spraying electrical circuit board cleaner on them.

Install is the reverse:
in brief-
after reinstalling wires and handle connection,
install the water shield, if removed
insert trim panel into channel retainer at top of door
insert the forward four way alignment guide into position. Insert the rearward two way alighment guide into position
Install new retaining clips to attach door trim panel to door
continue in reverse order: screws to radio speaker, etc.
