Chrysler Repair: 02 sebring coolant leak, coolant leak, seal failure

Question
i have an 02 sebring 2.7 litre it is leaking coolant from a small hole behind ac compressor on the block i think its the water pump but there are no other signs of water pump failure and it is driven by the timing chain anything i should know before tackling this job..

Answer
Hi Jeremy,
A small leak from the weep hole is normal. However a steady stream would indicate a pump seal failure. So decide first whether you really have a seal failure or not because this is a big job to do. If it needs to be done you have to go thruough the process of removing the timing chain which you should have the pages from the manual to accomplish.
