Chrysler Repair: 2001 T&C power lift gate will not open or close on its own power, postal mail, xerox copy

When i push the button on the key fob and inside the van to open the rear lift gate, all it does is beep the rear lights flash it opens about an inch and the stops. you can here the motor run and then nothing happens. after that you have to open the lift gate manually. I was told it could be the lock assembly / actuator but don't want to start replacing parts that may be working. any thing you could help would be great. Thanks and have a great day.

I had a similar question last week. I explained that the section of the manual is 20 pages of text plus 4 pages of wiring diagrams. It is not possible to deal with this system at a diatance without a specific identification of what is wrong. It could be the latch, the wiring, the motor, the mechanical parts or the computer modules that control the system. About the beat I can offer is to xerox copy and postal mail you the pages so you can get into it yourself. The cost for copying and mailing is about $3.00 which you can reimburse for after you get the pages. If you want that info give me a postal mailing address.
