Chrysler Repair: 99 Chrysler 300m: side marker/fog lamp replacement, halogen bulbs, hood latch

Question
How do I replace the side markers and fog lights on this car? What if there is no inside connector for the fog lights?

Answer
Hi Timeka,
To replace the side marker you first have to remove the headlamp housing. Here is the procedure from the manual for that (There are some figures that I can xerox and postal mail to you if you find the description inadequate):
Release hood latch and open hood.
Remove large rubber grommet (70 mm x 168 mm) from splash shield (this is at the front of the wheel well) to gain access to fascia fasteners Access Rubber Grommet
Remove fasteners attaching fascia to the front fender and splash shield, using access hole in splash shield Fastener Locations
Remove the push pins attaching the fascia to the upper radiator closure panel Remove Push In Fasteners
Remove jackscrews attaching headlamp housing to crossmember and remove the lamp housing to access the lamp(s) Headlamp Jackscrews
Roll fascia forward to clear way for headlamp housing removal Roll Fascia Forward
Disconnect wire connector from back of lamp socket(s) and/or bulbs.
Remove headlamp housing Remove Headlamp Housing
INSTALLATION
CAUTION: Do not touch the glass of halogen bulbs with fingers or other possibly oily surface, reduced bulb life will result.

Place headlamp housing into position.
Connect wire connector to lamp socket(s) and/or bulbs.
Verify headlamp and signal lamp operation.
Install jackscrews to attach headlamp housing to crossmember.
Align fascia to bumper reinforcement and install the top center push pins, to upper radiator closure panel.
Align the two fascia studs to the fender vertical attachments, at the same time align the fascia groove on the horizontal flange with the fender drive pin. Push fascia rearward to engage the fasteners.
Install nut on fascia stud through the splash shield access hole.
Verify headlamp operation and alignment

Once the headlamp housing is removed you then rotate and pull the socket from the sidemarker housing. There is one fastener that holds the housing to the fascia.

For the fog lamp, there appears to be 2 screw that are hidden from view that retain the top edge to the fascia and once removed you can pull the lamp housing forward from the fascia. The housing's wire is spliced into the front lighting harness, but it may also disconnect at the lamp housing. You will see which you need to do when you remove the housing.
