Chrysler Repair: 1992 Chrysler Town & Country hood cable, hood latch, chrysler town

I have a 1992 Chrysler T&C van and the hood release cable is broken. I have not taken the time to look for an easy access to the latch mechanism, but I would greatly appreciate any directions or advice to open the hood

Hi Wayne,
I would believe that you can look up from underneath and with a light be able to see the latch mechanism. There will be a lever to which the cable end was formerly attached which when pushed toward the driver's side of the van will release the latch. It has a return spring which will resist your push but that is basically what you have to locate and actuate to allow the hood latch to release the hood. It is located a little way behind the hood ornament, for reference.
