Chrysler Repair: blower motor:early 90s Dynasty/New Yorker, dodge dynasty, blower motor

Question
where is the blower located on 1991/1992 dodge dynasty.I need to replace them

Answer
Hi Mike,
The blower motor is located on the bottom of the heater/ac housing, at the right hand end. You may need to remove the pad on the lower edge of the passenger side dash to see the housing. You will probably want to remove the glove box too.  Just remove all the screws around the glove box door and drop it down.
There are 2 screws on the underside of the fan housing which when removed allow the removal of the bottom panel, and three screws to allow the motor to drop out. If you had a problem with the fan running on high speed only before it failed, it may be that the resistor block burned out, as that is the device that sets up the voltages for the various fan speeds. The motor for the fan is wired to that block. The block is located above and behind the glove box. Follow the wire from the blower motor to find the block. You might want to test the motor before buying a new one as it could be a burned out resistor block that has caused the entire loss of the blower.
