Chrysler Repair: Multiple OBDII Codes: evaporative system, emission control system, smog inspection

Question
Hi, my wife's car has tossed up the following errors:

p0441 Evaporative Emission Control System Incorrect Purge Flow
p0456 Evaporative Emission System Leak Detected (very small leak)
p0442 Evaporative Emission Control System Leak Detected (very small leak)

With 3 codes, I wonder if there's a thing common to all three that might be broken. Any thoughts on where to start looking?

Thanks in advance for your time.

Answer
Hi Josef,
No, they all point to the same issue: a leakage problem in the system that collects fuel vapor and stores it for subsequent re-entry in the engine intake manifold for fuel. Start with the gas cap: see it if was loosely closed, then remove and inspect it. You might stop at a smog inspection station and ask them to vacuum test it if the cost is less than buying a new cap. Then I would inspect all the vacuum hoses associated with the evap system for loose fittings or cracked hoses. Beyond that would be a faulty purge solenoid or storage canister.
