Chrysler Repair: Pulsating, lebaron, roland

Question
I have a 1992 Lebaron that is pulsating between 45 and 55 mph.

Answer
Hi Kimi,
I am unclear as to what you mean by 'pulsating'. Can you describe it more fully?
In the meantime, let us do one diagnositic test:
Use the ignition key. Turn it "on-off-on-off-on and leave on" doing that in 5 seconds or less elapsed time. Then watch the "check engine" light which remains 'On' to begin to flash, pause, flash etc. Count the number of flashes before each pause. Then repeat to be sure you get the same set of counts. Then write me back to tell me also what were the flash counts in order of appearance. That may tell us what is wrong.

PS Use the 'thank/rate' tab to get back to me with the answer/result, without having to wait for me to be 'available' to take a question. While you are there, if you would consider giving me a 'yes' where it asks about a 'nominiation for expert of the month' I would appreciate that.

Hey Roland, got your message about my 1992 Lebaron pulsating. I am actually not able to try my ignition key I have travelled for the holidays, but maybe I should describe it better as it chugs or hesitates between 45 to 55. I replaced the fuel filter but had no change. It's not the suspension, but something within the engine. Hope to hear from you soon.

Hi Kimi,
Thanks for the nomination. Let's wait until you can try the code readout trick. It will give us a better clue as to what is causing the hesitation at road speeds, I believe. Otherwise, I would be guessing and not being of too much help.
