Chrysler Repair: 2001 Chrysler Voyager DTC P0204, chrysler voyager, inner fender

Question
QUESTION: Wanted to ask Kevin a follow-up to his response to an earlier question. What I have is check engine light with DTC codes P0300/P0305/P0306. Able to clear codes, runs okay for a little while then light comes back on. Have cleaned the injectors, replaced plugs, wires, coil and fuel filter. Just a few minutes ago I checked the codes and now I have a P0204 and the check engine light has started flashing. Is this a PCM issue? Where is it located?
Thank You very much for your assistance.

ANSWER: Hi James,
This is the code for a problem with the injector for cylinder #4, saying that electrically it is not responding to the driver pulse. It could be the wire at/to the injector, or the injector coil may be faulty which would require replacing the injector. If you would tell me the engine I can tell you where to test the wire between the injector and the pcm plug (which pin is what I can tell you).
Use the 'thank/rate' tab below to get back to me without having to wait for me to be 'available' to take a new question.

QUESTION: I'm sorry. It is a 3.3L non-flex fuel. Are the misfire codes somehow related to the P0204 code?
Thanks Again...You rock!

Answer
Hi James,
The fuel injectors all have a dark green/orange wire that carries 12V when the engine is cranking/running, and injector #4 has light blue/brown wire that is connected to pin 16 of the black 40-way plug at the controller. The pcm is mounted on the driver's side inner fender. These references are from my '98 manual which I believe is still applicable to your '01. Yes, the misfire is based upon a subtle change in the engine rpm when a specific cylinder misfires, and the injector issue could well be the cause of the misfire. However, the code for cylinder #4 misfire is 0304, but it may just be inaccurate in recoginizing which cylinder is misfiring. The firing order is 123456, so it could be 'off by one' but I would believe the #4 injector wire or the injector itself is real.
