Chrysler Repair: Replacing Upper Radiator Hose; 99 300M, upper radiator hose, hood latch

Question
When replacing the upper radiator hose, it appears that the cowling over the radiator needs to be removed. How is this done? Can the hose be replaced without removing the cowling?

Thanks

Answer
Hi Robert,
It appears that is the case in that the procedure for removing the radiator starts by removing the crossmember, then the hose.
Here are the steps:
Mark bolt locations on the panel (there are 4 on each side)
Remove bolts holding washer bottle and speed control servo
Remove headlamp jack screws (one on each side, these retain the headlamp housings)
Remove fasteners attaching upper bumper facia (7)
Remove bolts attaching front edge of upper radiator closure panel
Disconnect hood latch cable from hood latch
Remove the panel
Install is the reverse. Sorry to bring the bad news, but it may not be too bad a job.
