Chrysler Repair: alarma sebring jx 96, power door locks, sebring jx

Question

ANSWER: Hi Luis,
There is no easy way to disconnect the alarm system from your car. It is a programmed into the electronic hardware which has multiple purposes (the body computer and the engine computer) so it can't be disconnected. The best way to "defeat" the alarm is never to activate it. I mean that you should NOT use the power door locks, or the door key locks, or the remote control to secure the vehicle's door. Instead, use ONLY the hand-operated push-button on the doors to lock them when you exit the car. That will secure it but not set the alarm system in motion.
There is a way to disarm the system when it is locked in the alarmed status and prevents you from starting the engine, but it only works once and involves using a jumper to cross some wires at the body computer under the dash. If you are locked down in that way let me know and also tell me which body style you have: convertible or sedan.
But try to avoid ever setting the alarm as I described above.

QUESTION: Hello: Roland
Thanks for respoderme, the information of car is:
Chrysler Sebring JX 1996 V6, 2.5L convertible.
I disarmed the whole car and found a blue box that is along with the box of fuses and this is the one that produces that it does not light, I have located endonde causes the flaw.
Thank you very much to help me, for that it was known us that to do for 7 months.

Answer
Hi Luis,
You are welcome. If I understand correctly, you have solved the problem. If not, please explain again.
Unfortunately my Sebring convertible manual is for the '98 model so I am not able to understand what the blue box is for, but if it appears to be a separate anti-theft module and it was installed at the factory, then if you ever want to disconnect the system be sure to pull its plug out ONLY WHILE THE ENGINE IS RUNNING. Otherwise you may be mistaken for a thief and the engine will really lock you out unless you tow the car to a dealer for computer reprogramming. That is the way this system worked up until about '95-6 or so when there was a separate theft module.
