87 lebaron coupe 4cly. turbo speedo not working mph ok miles counter not. changed gear in trans & gauges. any sugg? electrical no cable

Hi Pat,
If I understand correctly your speedometer section is working but not the odometer, correct? If that is the case you have a problem in the speedo/odo unit called the odometer gears. You need to remove the cluster and inspect the drive gears for the odometer. There are two gears to examine. The more likely damaged gear is the 20-tooth gear. You can get one from a speedometer repair shop locally or on line at www.odometergears.com  It costs around $20-25. If I don't have your problem correctly please let me know.
