Chrysler Repair: Recliner mechanism on 2000 mini-van broken, dodge grand caravan, recliner mechanism

How would I change the recliner mechanism on the driver seat of a 2000 Dodge Grand Caravan. Is it an easy process? Or am I better off getting a new seat? I have a price of $85.00 for a new mechanism, or $185.00 for a new/used seat.
Please help!!!!

Hi Adam,
I have the '98 manual which shows the steps to replace the mechanism which doesn't seem too complicated. So I would go for a mechanism only. You might find a seat at a wrecking yard that has a good mechanism but otherwise is trashed. Let me know if you want the pages that show it and I will xerox and postal mail them to you.
