Chrysler Repair: 2003 town and country: vapor recovery leak, charcoal canister, loose hose

Question
check engine light on was told evap leak, how does someone find a leak on evap system...

Answer
Hi Noel,
The system has several components that are connected together with hoses. I can tell you about the system as shown in my '98 manual which is the latest I have. The charcoal canister that collects vapors is under van on the vehicle frame area under the driver seat. The pump is there too. A hose from the fuel tank attaches to that area, and a hose from canister to the intake manifold with a round valve in between the latter parts, which you will find by the washer refill/radiator overflow bottle. So I would follow all the hoses connecting together these parts to find either a loose hose fitting or a cracked hose. I hope this is helpful to you.
