Chrysler Repair: question regarding alarm reset code, chrysler imperial, key light

Question
i read the question from daniva about the 1990 chrysler imperial. I followed the directions the check engine light flashed the following sequences. 3 2 5 4 1 5 5. If you have any advice on the next step i would appreciate it.

Answer
Hi Whitney,
It wasn't clear to me what year/model/engine you have so let me know that. Please read the numbers again because there needs to be an even number of counts because they form 2-digit codes. I suspect the the 3 is actual a 1 and a 2, which is the code 12, which just says that sometime in the recent past you disconnected the battery. If that is not the case then let me that.
The 25 says there is an issue with the automatic control of you your idle speed. Do you notice anything like that?
The 41 says there is a problem with the field control circuit of the alternator. Do you notice any problem with charging the battery?
The 55 says "end of readout".
So do recheck the codes and tell me if I have misinterpreted your counts, and tell me what is wrong, and tell me about the year/make/engine. All the codes you can get with the ignition key/light flashing have to do with the engine and transmission only.
There is no code for the alarm function, so tell me more about that issue. There is a separate code data base for another computer in the car called the 'body computer'. But you have to get it read out at a shop. That data base does have some codes for the alarm system. But tell me what the symptoms are of the problem and maybe that won't be necessary.

Hi Roland, Ok, to clarify my issue I believe my issue is the same as this http://en.allexperts.com/q/Chrysler-Repair-807/2008/10/1990-Imperial-theft-alarm... I have a 1990 Chrysler Imperial 3.3L engine with A/C. I think the alarm system went crazy when i left the doors locked for several hours (it seems like the alarms on this vehicle don't work quite right). Is there any way we can reset the computer so the car starts and continues to run instead of shutting of? Thanks in advance for any help.

Hi Whitney,
On the alarm issue, the standard way to disarm is by lock/unlock either front door with the door key. Try both. If that doesn't work, then you need to remove the glove box (remove the upper silencer pad, remove the screws that go around the door opening, then drop the glove box down out of the opening). You will find above the glove box opening a module that has a 21-pin natural color plug. If the plug is on the back side of the module, then remove the 4 screws that hold the mounting bracket to the instrument panel so you can then unscrew the module from the bracket so that the plug is readily accessible to you.  Then stick a straight pin into each of the following wire so that it touches the internal conductor:dark green/orange on pin 8 and black/light green on pin 10. Touch the two pins together momentarily. Then try to start the car and see if it runs without stopping. If it starts, remove the pins and WHILE THE ENGINE IS RUNNING pull the natural color plug out from the module socket. It is crucial that the engine be running when you pull the plug. That will disable the security alarm system and end that problem. Doing that is probably the most convenient solution. Repair involves getting inside the doors to fix a broken wire.
If you still have other problems re-read the codes as I described earlier.
