Chrysler Repair: 98Sebring convertible power supply, breaker 19, bus bar

Question
QUESTION: My wonderfull Mother-in-law tried to raise the top while driving and now the top will not work, nor do the windows. I there a safety switch somewhere? I have found power att all of the fuses and relays except for the power wndow fuse in the dash. Any help would be greatly appreciated, Father-in-law says i can't fix it, please help.

ANSWER: The power windows are powered by circuit breaker 19 in the under-dash box. That source comes from the ignition switch and that gets it power from fuse 18 under the hood. The power top needs fuse 11 in the underhood box which comes off the battery, and fuse 4 in the underdash box which also is powered by 18 under the hood. So those are the devices I would check out, looking to see if a fuse might not be blown but have a subtle crack in its wire, or the the circuit breaker has not reset.

QUESTION: i have replaced all of those,(or atleast swapped w/ fuses from other locations) and no change. the fuse 11 has no power to its terminals. is that controlled by fuse 18 under the hood? i was hoping there would be a reset button someahere.

Answer
Hi Lawrence,
Fuse 11 gets power from the "bus bar" which distributes current to all the fuses in that box directly from the battery. It is likely that the connection between the bus bar and fuse socket is burned through.  The pin which is toward the rear of the socket (might be labelled as 46) is supposed to be hot. If not, then the problem is there.
