Chrysler Repair: 1993 Concorde Heater Fan, blower motor, heater fan

Question
Ok i took the cover off the silencer duct. I had to remove two trim plugs to do that. The plastic housing is exposed and when I turn on the key I can feel the rubbing of the fan. I don't see how I can remove the cover for the fan . It's kind hard of  being upside down and working on it.

Answer
Hi Casey,
Here are the steps:
Remove the blower motor electrical connector from the blower resistor block
Squeeze blower motor wiring grommet and push grommet through blower motor housing cover.
Remove blower motor housing cover (looks like 3 or 4 screws holding 'ears' of the cover to main housing)
Remove blower motor retaining screws (not illustrated)
Lower blower motor from housing
Install is the reverse. If you have a whistling sound problem you can apply some caulking to the seam between the blower motor housing and the adjacent evaporator housing, working from inside the blower motor housing. Don't apply too much however.
The fan and blower are replaced as a unit, though you may be able to bend some part to eliminate the rubbing.
