Chrysler Repair: Concorde 97: overheating, coolant loss, possiblities

Question
My car keeps overheating. i've been to the mechanic in the past 2 months about 5 times for the same problem, and everytime they fix the problem it seems to be fine for about a week then it overheats and breaksdown again. So far they've changed the water pump, thermostat, radiator, and sensor. Now they're telling me they can't seem to find the problem. help!! please!!

Answer
Hi Karen,
It would be helpful to know what the symptoms of overheating are. Boiling over with coolant loss? Temp gauge on high? Does it go high when you are moving, or only at a stop. How high does the gauge read at worst?
What if you don't use the AC, is the problem still present? Are the fans running when the gauge is at 3/4 scale or more? Is the mechanic aware of the "trick" to filling the system to be sure that all the trapped air is out? Have you checked the temperature of the wheels when it has overheated for the possibility that the brakes are dragging?
I assume this is a 3.3L engine, correct?
So please tell me a bit more and maybe check out these possiblities and let me know. I can give you a better answer with some more details.
Roland
