Chrysler Repair: in-frame rod bearing replacement, dodge spirit, rod bearing

have an 89 dodge spirit with a 2.5 4 cylinder that has what sounds to be a rod bearing going out. I would like to know more about the balance shaft assembly to see if it can be removed so as to inspect the lower end and replace the rod bearings, without removing the engine or cylinder head.

I have the '89 shop manual that describes all that. I can only offer to xerox the pages and postal mail them to you. It costs me 10 cents per side and with postage it would probably come to around $2. If you would send me back five 42-cent stamps after you get the pages that would be appreciate.
