Chrysler Repair: 1993 lebaron convertable rear quarter windows, rear quarter windows, interior molding

OK.
SWITCHES AND MOTORS WORK.
WINDOWS WILL NOT GO DOWN OR UP AND ARE TILTED SIDEWAYS.
HOW DO I ACCESS THE MOTOR AND REGULATOR ON EACH SIDE?
I THINK THE PLASTIC GEAR STRIPS ARE SHOT

Hi David,
You have to remove the interior molding that runs from the rear of the door opening around the area under the window and toward the corner which is called the 1/4 trim panel. There is a multi-step procedure for doing that outlined in the shop manual. I can xerox copy and postal mail you those pages. As to repair of the mechanism, it too is discussed in the manual, but the question of the best place to get the rebuilt mechanisms is best followed in the discussion group of LeBaron owners at Yahoo called TheChryslerLebaronClub.
