Chrysler Repair: power steering pressure hose, chrysler cirrus, 1997 chrysler cirrus

Question
QUESTION: How do you change the power steering pressure hose on a 1997 Chrysler Cirrus with a 2.5L V6 engine?  The hose had enough play to allow it to rub against the wheel on the power steering pump creating a hole.

ANSWER: Hi Frank,
The procedure is described in a '96 Cirrus manual that I have which covers about two and half pages of detailed text. I can't scan it to you but I would be pleased to xerox and postal mail them to you tomorrow, if that is soon enough. Use the "thank and rate" tab to give me you postal mailing address where you will find a space for "comments".

QUESTION: Can you post info about getting to the hose at the end near the rack and pinion?  I have the driver's side front wheel and plastic wheel well part already removed.  Is this the proper approach to get to the nut for the hose?

I removed the intake manifold to get to the area where the hose crosses from the P/S pump before it dives downward toward the rack and pinion.  Also, I am able to get to the pump from the passenger's side front wheel well.

Answer
Hi Frank,
I just sent the answer back by a follow-up answer to the first question, after I got your comment, so watch for that. It appears to not be as simple as you think and you would want to have these pages which I will get off to you tomorrow morning. I do see that an abbreviated version of the procedure is shown in the Haynes Manual #25015 page 17-19 of chapter 10 if you can find that at a library or a parts store in the meantime, and you are pressed for time.
