Chrysler Repair: Sebring 1996: no starter motor action, neutral safety switch, question pool

Question
My instrument panel lights up and lights come on. But when the key is turned on it will not turn over. I pulled the starter and it checked out good. cleaned the cable and still nothing. Found where the starter relay is supposed to be but the new one I bought does not look and connect like the old one. located under the center console right relay, is this right? Only other thing I can think of would be ignition switch. Oh and it will not boost off.

Answer
Hi John,
The possible causes are:
the ignition switch
the Park/Neutral safety switch in the transmission
the starter relay actuation coil, or the contacts inside the relay
the wire from the relay to the starter motor
the starter motor solenoid
the high current wire to the starter motor from the battery
the  starter motor
the battery
and the theft alarm system (if you have it)
I have the wiring diagrams for the '95 Sebring sedan and can discuss how to figure this out if it is still relevant. Your question just came to my attention in the "question pool" although you submitted it a week ago. Let me know if you haven't solved this and we can go from there. Yes, the right relay in the center console is the starter relay. I assume you have the sedan body, correct?
