Chrysler Repair: Inside hood release broken: LH, hood latch, release lever

96 concorde, the inside hood release has broken, can you tell me how to open the hood from under the car, or another alternative methiod to get the primary hood latch open?

Hi Bob,
The latch mechanism is probably accessible from under the car. I
don't have info on where to look up from underneath or whether you have to remove any panel to see/reach it. It is mounted on the transverse radiator closure cross member panel. But once you locate it you will see a return spring for the release lever on the right side of it mounted transversely. That spring is attached to the release lever and you would push the lever toward the left to release the hood latch.
