Question
what does it mean when only one plug fires (the only one firing is the right front) thank you you help is greatly appreciated

Answer
Hi Joann,
That is pretty unusual. You didn't mention which size V-6 you have but no doubt there is spark coil on each individual plug. All the coils share a common power source so unless the wire harness that goes from fuse S in the power distribution center has been burned each of the coils should be found to have 12v on its dark green/light green wire while you are cranking it. Then each coil gets a "driver" (pulsed grounding) signal from the engine controlled on a separate wire from the engine computer from one of the plugs there (pins are between  1 and 21) so again unless that harness is damage each coil should show that pulsed grounding. You could see if that is happening or not with a volt-ohm meter. There then remains the issue of the engine computer not putting out the driver signals. I suspect there is a bad spark sensor that is giving a weak signal to the computer. It may have a fault code stored in its memory. I would suggest trying the ignition key:"on-off-on-off-on and leave on" doing that in 5 seconds or less elapsed time. Then watch the odometer window to see if the mileage reading changes to show a 4-digit number(s). If so, let me know and we'll go from there. If you don't get any numbers than a plug in reader will have to be brought to the car and plugged in under the dash to get a code readout.
