Chrysler Repair: brake lights: 88 Lebaron, brake light switch, stop lamp

"88 LeBaron has no brake lights. Have checked bulbs and fuses. Is there a brake light switch? If so, where would it be?

Hi Tom,
The stop lamp switch is under the dash mounted on the brake pedal support and it is a spring-loaded button switch which is activated when the brake pedal arm moves away from the switch and the spring follows the action and closes the internal switch contacts. Check that it is "following" and also check its 6 pin plug nearby. Let me know if you have cruise or not, and I can tell you which wires to check for functioning of the switch.
