Chrysler Repair: 98 Dodge minivan heater core r&r, dodge minivan, dodge caravan

Question
I was wondering does any one know where the heater core in a 98 dodge caravan is?? And if so do I have to take the whole dash apart to get to it? Or is there an easier way to get to it??

Hi Huy,
You are in luck, to a certain degree. There is an 11-step procedure that includes a step "to remove the steering column" which itself is 28 steps, but you don't have to totally remove the heater/ac housing. It may be possible to remove the steering column with less steps, but you would have to study that. It may be easier to remove the whole A/C housing than to do the steering column to get at the core.  There are probably two dozen pages to cover all these possibilities and I could xerox copy and postal mail them to you. It would cost me around $3.00 to do that so let me know and we can work out the details.
