Chrysler Repair: 99 Town&Country BCM, drb iii, connector port

Question
I read Roland's response to Steve, and put my BCM thru the diagnostic. It ran the diagnostic, but never came out of the cool down.  I let it flash for probably 10 minutes, (Roland said about 2 min) then shut off the engine.  So I never retrieved any codes.
I was told my BCM was bad because the intermittant wipers would stop occasionally.  Also, the memory mirrors never return to the set position. The memory seat does set itself correctly.
I don't just want to replace the BCM because of the cost unless it's absolutely necessary.

Answer
Hi Charles,
I am not clear as to Steve's question, but I don't believe there is a way to test the BCM other than by plugging in a DRB III or equivalent test system and making an inquiry of the BCM, using the data link connector port under the dash. It would appear that it is involved but whether that is the only reason should be verified by getting a readout using the system at a dealer or qualified shop.
