Chrysler Repair: 1987 LEBARON 2.2L TURBO/CONV. WITH VACUUM PROBLEM, vacuum problem, vacuum diagrams

Question
QUESTION:
I just got this car from a relative that was going to restore it and now it is my turn. The car runs ok, but the turbo/car
doesn't work the way it should. Yes someone has messed with the vacuum lines and they are a mess. The diagram under the hood isn't much help either. I went to auto zone web site and pulled up the wiring diagram and there seems to be a conflict.
The color code for most of the car seems to match the 1988
Chrysler. I was reading some of the post and one of them stated that with this car between 1987 and 1988 is when they were making some changes. I guess you can say I have a 1987
and 1/2 Chrysler Le Baron turbo 2.2l convertible. My problem is the vacuum lines are a mess and I need the correct information routing and a picture if possible of the vacuum system.

ANSWER: Hi Steve,
Fortunately I have the vacuum diagrams for both years as well as the wiring diagrams. They are just large scale versions of what is on the under hood. You will find the parts I am sure and if not ask me specifically about what you can't. The main difference was in 87 1/2 when the computer set up was changed from one in the engine/one in the cabin on the right cowl (next to the passengers right shin) to a single unit on the left inner fender with two plugs. Use the thank and rate tab where you can give me a postal mailing address and I can xerox copy and postal mail them to you. Try to see which set up you have and tell me if the car was delivered in California originally or not.

QUESTION: WOULD THE VIN# BE OF ANY HELP IN GETTING THE CORRECT INFORMATION

ANSWER: Hi Steve,
No, but verify that the 8th position is an E. Try to look at the computer on the left inner fender to see if it has a single plug (19 pin) or two plugs (12+60).

QUESTION: I had to go to another page, it wouldn't let me follow up from your last reply. The only numbers I have for the vacuum hose digram is 4405718.

Answer
Hi Steve,
That is relevant:there is a Turbo I and a Turbo II set up and yours in a Turbo I and that is the same diagram as I have although not the one I first mentioned. So we are on the same page. I am not that into those finer points, so I can't tell you how they differ without some research. So if it is legible there is no point in my copying that.
I looked at the section of the manual on the entire fuel system and it is 35 pages in length. I can copy those a 10 cents per side and with postage that would probably be around $ 4.25 to send to you.
So I'll let you decide what hard copy you need or what further questions to ask. As I noted, there is no concise section on the vacuum system alone other than the diagram.
