Chrysler Repair: overheating problem:94 LH body car, chrysler concorde, 1994 chrysler concorde

Question
i have a 1994 chrysler concorde and it wants to overheat i changed the thermostat and the water pump and it still wants to over heat,i noticed it over heating when my husband was putting my stereo in my car so i turned the heat on for him in the car and the car was in park and it overheated,so i replaced both parts started with the thermostat then it still wanted to overheat so i changed the water pump and now when i drive my car it wants to overheat it normally happens when i have my heater on and will normally cool down when i shut my heater off but it doesn't seem to cool down anymore afterwards and when i don't have my heater on and drive the gauge will go up to the H area.i don't know what else there is that could be causing the problem,so if you have any answers for me i would appreciate it. thank you.

Answer
Hi Jennifer,
Are your fans coming on when the temp gauge reaches 1/2-3/4 scale?
If the fans come on and it stays below 7/8 scale reliably and you don't loose coolant then I would be content. Let me know if your fans aren't coming on because that would cause your problem.
Other than the fans, remediation might include a radiator flush if that hasn't been done. Compare the left and right side manifolds of the radiator which should be equally hot, if not, then the radiator tubes are clogging up.
Also, check to see if you have air trapped in the system by using the bleeder valve on the thermostat housing: after attaching several feet of 1/4" hose so as to direct the outflow over the front end of the car and away from the drive belts, where it can be collected for reuse, open the bleed valve, then add coolant to the overflow bottle until it comes out the bleeder hose, and at the same time squeeze gently on the upper hose to remove all air; but keep the overflow bottle supplied with recycled coolant while doing the bleeding so it doesn't empty out, then close bleeder when it appears that all the air is out of the system. You might want to have your husband help with this process to collect and recycle the coolant.
Let me know how things work out, please.
